The facelifted Touran is anticipated to be orderable from approx September 2010, with first stocks starting to arrive at UK dealers from October. No pricing available yet. It will have 7 seats as standard (3rd row can be folded down to provide to give a 695 litre loadspace, this increases to 1,913 litres when the 2nd row is folded).
Engine choices start with a new 1.2 TSI (105PS) and a 1.4TSI (140PS). The diesels are a 1.6 TDI engine with a choice of 90 or 105 PS outputs, and a 2.0TDI engine with 140 or 170PS.
The 1.2 TSI 105PS petrol and 1.6 105 PS diesel can be ordered as BlueMotion Technology (with Start/Stop and, in the case of the diesel a 61.4 mpg combined cycle).
It also features latest generation ParkAssist - allowing the vehicle to park in parallel spaces and end-on spaces - operating via a single button and no complicated set-up process.
Some new trim finishes are joined by a 3-spoke steering wheel, and redesigned dials with a subtle white backlight & a large electronic display for the vehicle’s systems. A redesigned centre console features chrome highlights and new controls for ventilation.
Exterior styling includes a new grille with strong horizontal lines (echoed in the new front bumper ) and at the rear it has revised LED tail lights, new tailgate and bumper. New alloy wheels and chrome-edged rubbing strips complete the exterior look
