I had tried to buy my new car 'conventionally', and given up when the 2 garages near me failed me: one didn't bother to return any of my 3 calls, and the other one lied to me: they tried to sell me last year's model as this year's, and seemed to know less about the product than I learned from 30 mins online! I then tried online dealers, but was put off by the fact that I wouldn't receive the V5 paperwork for 6 months, and I would be the 2nd owner.
I was about to give up when I read about you in What Car. I asked for a quote, & was very happy with what you provided. You were persistent in following up my initial request, but not pushy or aggressive - the same was true of the dealer you put me in touch with. 7/3/08.....my husband and I are chuffed to bits with our new Honda CRV and we couldn't have been happier with the service we received from Dealdrivers and the Honda dealer. At first it was a little daunting to us ordering a new car over the phone, but having fully researched what we wanted and feeling happy with our decision, the team effort from Jo (at Dealdrivers) and Tracey at the Honda dealership provided us with all the confidence we needed and resulted in what can only be described as 'excellent' service. 12/12/07 My experience of buying a car through DealDrivers was wholly favourable and positive. After phoning DealDrivers to indicate my intention of buying, I was contacted by the supplying dealer within 20 minutes. After confirming the details I was given a delivery time of about 4 weeks. I then paid a deposit by credit card - the rest of the payment to be by debit card the day before delivery. The car arrived by driver delivery within a few days of the 4 weeks, having been registered the previous day. The car was beautifully prepared and had only 34 miles on the clock. 4/9/07 I was completely satisfied with all aspects of the process of buying a new VW Golf for my wife. Absolutely fine at all stages. The e-mails and telephone conversations I had with Dealdrivers were very good and reassuring. This was largely because you did what you said you would do, and the communications were prompt and provided exactly the information you said you would provide. Dealing with your VW dealer was a pleasure. She looked after the details very well, and provided all the information and paperwork that I needed in a friendly and efficient way. Again very re-assuring. In summary, because it was so straight-forward and uncomplicated, I will certainly contact you again when I am in the process of purchasing another new car for myself sometime during the next year. 16/7/07: As a first-time internet buyer I was a little disconcerted by the risk of a price increase since the S Max delay meant that we were unable to get the car registered by 30 June (which was the "valid until" date). Anson was, however, very patient and professional (as always) in explaining the implications & risks and put my mind at rest. In the end there was no price change. Your team generally, and Anson specifically, have been great throughout, keeping me well informed & responding to questions really quickly. I was very pleased to be dealing with a dealer that I had heard of & they, too, were great. The dealer representative has been really responsive & helpful and the delivery turned up exactly on time. Even the delivery driver was professional, polite & pleasant.. I'd love to give you a top tip on something to improve but just can't. 9/7/07: Just a little note to say that the car arrived 8.30am on Friday-as promised-the dealer has been brilliant. I know that discounts on GTIs are not the biggest but I sold my car privately for more than the dealer offered and also got some discount on the new one so the whole thing was very worthwhile. 18/6/07 I received my new car a few days ago and noticed a slight scratch above the front number plate. I was a bit worried as to what level of after sales service I would be receive after vehicle delivery but was delighted with the prompt response and rectification of the problem with main dealer taking care of the whole thing without any need for me to phone round the houses. 5/6/07; The DealDrivers service was excellent. You responded to my quote request very quickly. One thing that was different to the main dealers I spoke to was that you actually admitted when you didn't know the answer to a very model-specific question I asked. You went off to find out and came back to me - the dealers just guessed and got it wrong! Your staff were friendly and professional at all times - again a skill which is sadly lacking in the car industry when dealing with women purchasers!
