It will debut at the Moscow Motor Show in August and will be on sale in the UK from October 2010.
Engines will include the new high-efficiency Ford EcoBoost 240ps petrol (in addition to the current 203ps engine) - co2 emissions target is 179 g/km.
A 2.2 TDCi will have a 12% power increase to 200ps, offered with the improved 2.0 TDCi already available with 115, 140 or 163ps power outputs. Average co2’s are 139 g/km on 6 speed manuals.
The ECOnetic technologies will include Smart Regenerative Charging, a Ford ECO Mode, and an Active Grille Shutter system (electronically controlled device regulating the airflow through the radiator and engine compartment to reduce aerodynamic drag and which will offer improvement economy and cold weather warm-up time
There will be distinctive new grilles and enhanced bonnet profile. New front bumpers will feature the lights mentioned above.
Interiors get new centre console, flush and integrated door release handles, ambient lighting in a new overhead console, a new Nav system, and a new Premium sound system.
Pricing and an order start-date will be released closer to October
